Trunk Show

I have tried a few shows in the past, but I have a great customer base that keeps me pretty busy, along with selling to a local store that carries my jewelry.  I recently was approached by the owner of this store to participate in an upcoming trunk show.  I'm very excited about this.  So, over the next few months I will be  preparing for the trunk show.  And, I've also been approached to set up my jewelry at an upcoming local business conference.  I'm looking forward to this event, as well as broadening my horizons, in that I'm working with a few individuals in teaching them some basic techniques to jewelry design/work. 

 I'll leave you with a couple of pieces recently made.

Showing Off.....Jewelry Designs

The topic for the end of March is, "Show off your latest designs".  I have many that I have been working on. Mostly I have been working on pieces to take to a small jewelry shop for sale.    I have many types of jewelry that I like to create....which includes beaded work, stamping, resin work, and so on.  Following are a few pieces that have been created lately.

Have you ever been somewhere, craft event, shopping, see something someone else has made and think...hmmm I can make this?  I began making/designing jewelry because first it interested me and second, I thought I didn't have the money to buy all the things I saw, so I became Addicted to Beadz.

Coin necklaces...cute.  Have you ever seen any made out of actual coins?  The above is a necklace I recently put together of coins from around the world.

Are flowers just for spring/summer?  Well no.  Flowers are for every day of the week, whether it be around your neck, in a beautiful vase, or growing outside.  I love Flowers every day of the week.  How about you?

Cultivation of Jewelry

When picking out your jewelry whether it be daily wear or a special occasion....how do you decide what you're going to wear?  Do you spend a lot of time choosing your accessories or simply pick something and see if it matches.  Do you pay close attention to color.  Are you afraid to mix it up or afraid to be bold.

Are you afraid of color or do you mix colors with your neutral pieces?  I find it interesting that some people when wearing say black, will only wear black pieces, instead of wearing some COLOR. 

 

Try mixing it up and adding some color with your neutrals.

Passion

As with many other passions in life, the love for all things “bead” came about unexpectedly. I unknowingly stepped into a new world of exploration and delight at what I had found.  I have found that I like working with many different types of beads, which includes stamping, resin, wire, mixed media.  I've discovered the therapeutic value of my love and now realize the harmony of all things “bead” with my daily work.
